These terms cover the FrontDesk Talk referral program (the "Program"), run by FrontDesk Talk, LLC ("FrontDesk Talk," "we," or "us"). By signing up on our referral page, you ("Partner") agree to these terms.
1. Who can join
You must be at least 18 years old and live in the United States. You don't need a FrontDesk Talk account. Our employees and their households can't earn bounties.
We may decline or remove any Partner at our discretion, for example if we believe these terms have been broken.
2. How a referral counts
When you sign up, we give you a personal referral link. A business counts as your referral (a "Referred Business") when all of these are true:
- It first visits frontdesk.talk through your link, and signs up within 60 days on the same browser.
- It is a new FrontDesk Talk customer that has never had a paid FrontDesk Talk account.
- No other referral link was used first. If more than one link was used, the first one counts.
Attribution depends on the link being opened and remembered in the business's browser. If browser storage is blocked or cleared, we may not be able to credit you. Our records decide who referred a business.
3. How the bounty is earned
You earn a one-time bounty equal to one month of the Referred Business's plan at its monthly price: $99 for Small Talk, $199 for Real Talk, or $399 for Big Talk. The plan used is the one the Referred Business is on when its second paid invoice is paid. Overage, extra minutes of Talk Time, taxes, and discounts are not included.
The bounty is earned once the Referred Business has paid its second paid monthly invoice. If it pays yearly, the bounty is earned once its yearly plan has been paid and active for two months without a refund.
Each Referred Business can earn one bounty, one time.
4. When a bounty is void
No bounty is earned, and we may take back one already paid, if:
- You refer yourself, a business you own, manage, or work for, or someone in your household.
- The Referred Business cancels, gets a refund, or disputes a charge before its second paid invoice.
- The referral involves fraud, fake accounts, stolen payment details, or any attempt to game the Program.
- You promoted your link with spam or in any way that breaks the section below.
5. How you may promote your link
Share your link honestly, with people you know or in places where it's welcome. You must not:
- Send unsolicited calls, texts, or emails, use autodialers or purchased lists, or otherwise spam anyone to promote your link. Our Acceptable Use Policy applies to you.
- Bid on search ads using "FrontDesk" or "FrontDesk Talk", or make websites or accounts that look like ours.
- Make claims about FrontDesk Talk that aren't on our website, including prices, features, or results.
- Suggest that FrontDesk Talk is suitable for healthcare or protected health information. It isn't.
If you post about us where people may not know you get paid, say clearly that you may earn a referral bounty.
6. Payment
We pay earned bounties by PayPal, Venmo, or check, using the details you gave us, generally within 30 days after the bounty is earned. Keep your payout details current. If a payment fails because your details are wrong and we can't reach you within 90 days, the bounty may be forfeited.
Bounties are paid in US dollars. We don't pay interest on bounties.
7. Taxes
Bounties may be taxable income, and you are responsible for any taxes on them. Before we pay you $2,000 or more in a calendar year, we will ask for a completed IRS Form W-9, and we may hold payments until we receive it. We may issue tax forms as the law requires.
8. Our relationship
You are an independent participant, not our employee, agent, or partner in a legal sense. You can't make promises or sign anything on our behalf.
9. Changes and ending the Program
We may change these terms or end the Program at any time. We will give Partners notice by email before a change that reduces bounties takes effect. Bounties already earned under the old terms before the change or end date will still be paid.
10. Everything else
Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply, including the dispute resolution section of the Terms of Service. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
